How to make partitions in windows 7 after installing windows


Windows 7 have many new features which are not available in win xp. Now you can make and delete partition after installation. This is very easy and help full for computer users. Here I can explain complete guide how to do it.

First of all install windows in your system.If you completing this step successfully now right click on my computer and select Manage.









Computer management tab shall open here you can now select Storage and its sub heading Disk Management.





Now you can see your hard disk space and its partition. I can make partitioning already. You can only see local disk C because you cannot make partition yet.

Now right click on drive c and select Shrink Volume like the image below.




In this window a box which is highlighted with blue here you enter how much volume you want to shrink. A new partitions made of same amount which you enter here. And the box below showing remaining space in local disk C. Select shrink a new volume is created.




Now right click on new volume this is not allocated and select new simple volume. A wizard is open click on next a specify volume size digits show.





Click on next button. Now here give a name to disk.




Click next in this step format hard drive with NTFS file system.



After finish it your anther drive is created.

Tip



First shrink drive c and give it a comfortable space then make other partitions with second one.
