Windows 7 compatibility Mode – Run an Unsupported Application in 7

Microsoft had a very good option in windows 7 operating system. The application which is not run in new addition of Microsoft operating system. You can use compatibly mode option to run these types of programs. The complete procedure is below.

Select the application and right click on it and click on properties

A new box is open select the second tap compatibility and select the version of windows which is the best for you program. See the image below. I choose the xp server pack 2.

If you not known which is the best option for you program then right click on application and choose the third option Troubleshoot compatibility like the image below.

This program automatically detect the problem and set the right version of window for you and your program is definitely run if the problem related to above mentioned heading.

Computer, Laptop, system, Pc and Machine these are some words which we us. Today’s computer journey starts from 1622 when first machine Abacus was invented for math adding and subtracting. A Pc mainly consist on two things the hardware and the software. Hard disk, CPU, Ram, Motherboard. Power supply, Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor or LCD, Speaker, CD Drive etc. are called hardware and System Software’s, Applications Software, Drives etc. are software’s. Now we discuss them and some other parts of computer one by one.

Hard Disk

A system hard disk contains a platter and a head. Data save on platter, platter have sector and tracks to save data. The roll of head is to read data form the platter. If hard disk damaged or crashed the all data on it will be lost. When we make partitions in hard drive. This is only virtual partition not physically.

RAM

Stands for random access memory. When you work on computer you noticed that if you open a program after starting the computer its take time to open. Shutdown the program and open it again it, it takes less time to open then pervious attempt because data is not in ram. So it open fast. Ram received data form hard disk give it to processor and give data to hard disk from processor. It is used in computer to fast working. If you remove ram from its slots then make your to place it back with right direction. If you insert it wrong then no display will show.

CPU

Stands for Central Processing Unit. All things managed by CPU. It is like a brain of the computer. CPU process one task at a time. It divide the tasks at give nanoseconds to every tasks one by one. CPU size is very tiny its size is equal to our finger nail. On it hundreds of thousands citrus are printed. It made with silicon. Processor locked on motherboard. If you can remove the CPU from its place replace it very carefully because if you fit it wrong it will be damaged.

Motherboard

All things are connected with each other through motherboard. BIOS (Basic Input Output System) is integrated on motherboard. Motherboard have space for external VGA, LAN cards slots. For system clock a cell also placed on mother board.

BIOS

Stands for Basic Input Output System. This chip contains important data. When system software is not installed the BIOS works. Laptops and Pc startup menu controlled by BIOS. There is an option available in setup to set password on BIOS.

Power Supply

It gives power to all system. It converts power AC to DC and give the correct amount of DC supply to every hardware part. Power supply have different types and powers according to the other hardware conditions.

   

CD/DVD Driver

To read and write data form a CD or DVD we used it. It contains on a lens for read and write data. This is an input and also an output device. In past days floppy and floppy drive is also in usage but now a days it cannot be used because it have low space.

  

This is the brief history of computer and its hardware parts now I will explain the software side of system. Two types of software are used in pc. System and application software’s. Different types of viruses also a software. The difference between them is below.

System Software’s

Those software’s which are necessary for running a pc is called system software’s. Like Windows, Linux, Different types of driver. Without a system software a user cannot work properly.

Application Software’s.

Those software’s which is used for different types of work. They not used to run system but used for different work like typing, drawing called application software’s. MS Office, Photoshop. VLC are application software’s.

  

Windows

Microsoft launches windows and it popular very fast. Because it is very user friendly. Windows 1998, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 are versions of it till now. It give a huge comfort to the user. It is the most popular operating system in world. The only drawback of it is that its protection to viruses is very weak.

Linux

Linux is also an operating system. The best part of it is that it gives very strong protection against viruses. These operating system created in C language. Many a people are involved to make it. A windows system software cannot run in Linux and a Linux software cannot be run in windows.

Apple Operating System

Another operating system is also in market it Mac OS. It is used in apple notebooks, laptops. It is also good operating system.

How to Install Drivers in Windows with images

Drivers Installation is a big problem for some desktop computer and laptops users. Because they did not known the way how complete this task. It is not difficult but time consuming. You need internet access and a  downloading software for fast downloading. If you have not then it is not a issue. 

Many a companies made laptops. Universal drives install in every laptop and pc. But when you want to install specific laptop manufacturing company drivers. Then first find the model number of your laptop. Under every laptop there serial number is written. So find it then write the company name on Google and go its official website and enter the serial number. Your device drivers will show. Download one which you want to install.

What is the Benefits and How to Use BitLocker Drive Encryption in Windows 7 with Images

In computer and laptops we have a lot of data in form of files, videos, pictures etc. Many a company’s give laptops to their employees for work. They carry the laptop with them self and have sensitive data of company and firm. If this type of data (personal & Company data) leaked or in access of some others it damage a lot to a person.

Many people forgot there laptops on airports in taxi etc. And some others laptop or pcs hard disk were stolen. In this case your data in other hands. For this type of difficulty Microsoft introduce a new feature in windows 7.

Here I can explain how this feature helps you. It’s called BitLocker drive Encryption. By using this your data is inaccessible. 

This feature can lock your hard drive and you can must give a password to access your data and if someone install new window or other operating system the date will not be readable for him. Means you protect you data completely.

Open Control panel and Select BitLocker drive encryption.

Adjust you computer settings

Now click on “Turn On BitLocker. Every partition have this option. Turn on this feature on which drive you have sensitive data or if you have only one drive turn on this option on it. I turn on it on drive E

Drive/Partitions

A new window will open I select first option and give it a password. For opening drive.

Enter a Strong Password

Now a new windows will open after completing above step. I choose first option. The recovery key save in my usb drive. Before selecting this option attached your usb drive with computer

When it complete your encryption will starts it takes some time to complete. click here

When encryption complete you need to enter the password which you set before for open the drive. If you forget password then it demands BitLocker Recovery key. So keep it save. You can turn this features off also. It turns off from where you can turn on it.

How to Fix Limited Connectivity/No Internet Access Problem in Windows 7

By using win 7 some time you cannot access the internet or facing inconvenience. This is very rare problem. To fix limited connectivity or no internet access follow these steps.

No internet Access

First of all click on Network/internet access icon like the image below

Then “Open network and sharing center” Select change adopter settings.

Now disable local area connection and then again enable it. 

If problem remains then follow this  procedure too. Because first try minor to major for quick trouble shooting. 

Right click on my computer select mange and further select device manger. Now here select network adopters and update them all including wireless adopter. Copy the step like the image below one, two and three.

Click on "Search automatically for updated driver software"

 If they successfully updated then your limited connectivity and no internet access problem were solve. If your DSL internet connection not working then you can use a USB /Wireless Broadband.

How to make partitions in windows 7 after installing windows

Windows 7 have many new features which are not available in win xp. Now you can make and delete partition after installation. This is very easy and help full for computer users. Here I can explain complete guide how to do it.

First of all install windows in your system.If you completing this step successfully now right click on my computer and select Manage.

Computer management tab shall open here you can now select Storage and its sub heading Disk Management.

Now you can see your hard disk space and its partition. I can make partitioning already. You can only see local disk C because you cannot make partition yet.

Now right click on drive c and select Shrink Volume like the image below.

In this window a box which is highlighted with blue here you enter how much volume you want to shrink. A new partitions made of same amount which you enter here. And the box below showing remaining space in local disk C. Select shrink a new volume is created.

Now right click on new volume this is not allocated and select new simple volume. A wizard is open click on next a specify volume size digits show.

Click on next button. Now here give a name to disk.

Click next in this step format hard drive with NTFS file system.

After finish it your anther drive is created.

Tip

First shrink drive c and give it a comfortable space then make other partitions with second one. 

What Is The Use of System Restore in Windows and How to Use it with images

System Restore option is available in windows. It is very helpful tool for users. But many people not totally aware how to use system restore option. Here I can explain its usage with images.

How this option Works

System Restore option use to restore your system to a previous date. Its mean when you set a restore point on a specific date and you can run this option after some months your system settings go back on that specific date.

Benefit of System Restore

After some time after installing new windows in your pc. Viruses and malwares are attack your computer. You can or without your permission install many unwanted programs. At that time when you run this option all malwares deleted from your pc.

How to perfectly use it

Install fresh windows in pc or laptop. Now install your all necessary programs and drivers. Make sure all necessary things are installed.

Now right click on my computer, and Select properties

Now select advance system settings. You can also select remote settings and system protection.

This below box will show after above step. Click on system protection tab.

And the end creating system restore option is available click on it give a name of restoring point. Your restore point is created. 

To check it click on CONTROL PANEL from START MENU and select BACKUP AND RESTORE click on RECOVER SYSTEM SETTINGS ON YOUR COMPUTER then click on OPEN SYSTEM RESTORE. Click next now you can see your restore point is available here.

Make sure  this restore point after installing all software’s and drivers because  when you run system restore point your computer restarts and all drivers and software’s were deleted. But keep in mind your all date including in drive c like on desktop will not be deleted by running this.
